30 Nights of StarPeace, one of the Global Astronomy Month projects kick off with joint programs between Phillipines, New Zealand and China. There was public star parties, lectures and simultaneus connections via internet and phone calls.
Now it's turn of countries between 72-108 E. Until now there are 4 groups across India, a group from Nepal, one from Pakistan and one from Sri Lanka who will join together to show there is no border for science and astronomy can bring peace among nations.
India
in Dehli, Mila Mitra from S.P.A.C.E India managed to have stargazing programs from SPACE office during all 3 days, 4th to 6th.
On 4th of April three other Indian astronomy groups will celebrate 30NSP. Datta Deogaonkar in Ahmendnagar will have stargazing program and live lecture on All India Radio on "Sky Watching and Astronomy. In the morning of April 4, Manoj Pai form Astronomy Club Ahmedabad will hold a solar observation session near Kankaria lake. Meanwhile in Kutch, Narendra Sagar Gor from Kutch Amateur Astronomy Club will hold the same solar observation with approved filters on April 4.
Nepal
While groups in India are celebrating 30NSP by day and night observing sessions, Suresh Bhattarai from Nepal Astronomical Society will hold public star parties during April 4 to 6.
Sri Lanka
Thilina Heenatigala from Sri Lanka Astronomical Society will join others by a sidewalk astronomy event on 4th of April.
Pakistan
Khalid Marwat in PIA planetarium of Karachi will hold a public star party. Meanwhile in Lahore, Hassaan Ghazali is planning stargazing events durin 5th and 6th.
