StarPeace on World Science Day
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
Four StarPeace parties in Syria, Iraq, Iran and Azerbaijan will take place on World Science Day for Peace and Development, November 10.

Established by UNESCO in 2001, the World Science Day for Peace and Development (WSDPD) is celebrated on November 10 each year. This year StarPeace clubs decide to celebrate the day by going to their borders and organizing a joint public star party with their neighboring countries. Syria, Iraq, Iran and Azerbaijan are four countries who will participate in this program.

Astronomers from Iran and Azerbaijan will gather in the town of Jolfa on their common border. In Iraq, Azhy Hasan organize a stargazing night in Arbil and at the same time in Damascus, Syria StarPeace colleagues will show the beauties of sky to the public.
