We are glad to announce that Amateur Astronomers Association of Kurdistan from Iraq, IYA2009 Iraq National Node, joined StarPeace Project as the first non-Iranian group.

Iran and Iraq were in war from 1980 to 1988, and now the Sky will be a tool for joining two nations together free from all political and national tendencies.

We hope that we can extend our cooperation with other groups and succeed to show that there is no border for science.
